Van Niekerk brings with her nine years of sales and marketing experience within the exhibition and event environments.  She has worked with a media agency, event organizers and an exhibition stand builder back in South Africa. Her role has required her to sit on various industry organizations such as the Exhibition and Event Association of South Africa (EXSA), The South African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) and the Event Greening Forum (EGF) which have helped her to establish key relationships and insights into these industry sectors. Van Niekerk holds a BA Marketing Communication Degree from the University of Johannesburg and a Project Management Diploma from the University of South Africa.

In her role prior to joining stevensE3, van Niekerk managed the creation and implementation of various marketing strategies which saw an increase in brand awareness with the companies and shows that fell within her portfolio. In addition to this she was also able to successfully grow visitor attendance to Reed Exhibitions South Africa’s shows Decorex Durban, Decorex Cape Town and the Fire & Feast Meat & Food Festival in 2019.
